FAQs
Buyer Questions, Direct Answers.
What pharmacy buyers and procurement teams ask before they trust a new sourcing partner with critical supply.
An Authorized Trading Partner is a manufacturer, wholesale distributor, dispenser, or repackager that holds the appropriate state and federal licensure to transact prescription drugs under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. Eagle Meds Services is an ATP and transacts only with other verified ATPs — every link in the chain is licensed, vetted, and documented.
Yes. Every Eagle Meds Services order ships with full DSCSA pedigree — Transaction Information (TI), Transaction History (TH), and Transaction Statement (TS) — covering authorized-trading-partner provenance and lot-level track-and-trace data. Documentation is audit-ready and provided on every invoice.
Send Eagle Meds the NDC or the medication name, strength, form, and quantity. The team checks standing inventory first, then works the supplier network — primary distributors, secondary wholesalers, manufacturer reps, and specialty depots. You receive a sourcing quote with NDC, available quantity, lot details, price, and ETA — typically within 2 business hours. Nothing ships without your confirmation.
Cold-chain logistics are available where required — refrigerated and frozen handling with temperature monitoring. Controlled substances are not currently sourced. DEA-scheduled product requests require additional registration and verification on a case-by-case basis.
A primary wholesaler (such as Cardinal Health, McKesson, or AmerisourceBergen) buys directly from manufacturers and supplies the bulk of a facility's medications. A secondary wholesaler — sometimes called an alternative-source wholesaler — fills the gap when primaries can't, often through manufacturer-direct, specialty depot, and trading-partner relationships. Eagle Meds operates as a licensed secondary sourcing partner.
Yes. Eagle Meds Services ships to licensed U.S. healthcare facilities in all 50 states, subject to state licensure requirements and ATP verification. Same-day fulfillment is available for urgent orders within the service network.
